Gyandoot is an intranet in Dhar district connecting rural cybercafes catering to the everyday needs of the masses. This intranet is linked to the internet and the corresponding internet website is gyandoot.nic.in and GYANDOOT.NET. The main features are as follows:

SOOCHANALAYA

The intranet connects 21 rural cybercafes called Soochanalayas. Each Soochanalya provide services to about 10 to 15 Gram Panchayats, 20 to 30 villages, 20,000 to 30,000 of the population. The intranet covers 5 out of 13 Blocks in the district and 3 out of 7 tahsils in the district. Soochnalayas are located at Block headquarters, haat bazaars, villages and bus depot centres. The Soochanalayas are located on the roadside of central villages where people normally travel. They together serve a population of over half a million.

Gyandoot offers services which are the essential needs of almost every villager. The villager takes agriculture produce worth thousands to the mandi without any proper information regarding rates. We offer to the farmer rate slips along with other relevant agriculture produce marketing related information from our cybercafes at a very affordable price of Rs. 5 only.We also give out copies of relevant extracts of land records at a small fee. Every farmer needs these copies every Kharif and Rabi season to obtain crop loan for seeds and fertilisers. The villagers may also send applications for obtaining various certificates, demarcating their land etc. and may send various kinds of complaints with quick and assured Email replies.
The Soochnalaya cybercafe network is, thus, the best and the widest reach system of getting to most farmers and villages.
